From KUL to DPS
A pack of goodness for RM12
Chicken rendang is filled with spices that it should have, so fragrant and delicious! Sambal tastes sweet more than spicy, not a bad thing to me as I find it suits my tastebud well. The rice is aromatic and rich with santan. It has the right amount of wetness thanks to santan, at the same time fluffy. Every spoonful of rice is sending me to coconut rice heaven. It was the best nasi lemak in my books! How nice if the portion was bigger =P
Roast Chicken with Black Pepper Mushroom Sauce (RM12)
It was a decent and healthy choice of meal. Wash them all down with a cup of Chatime Mango Green Tea w/ Rainbow Jelly (RM8).
From DPS to KUL
PN's Nasi Lemak (RM14) again because we really love it so much. Unfortunately to our dissapointment, the taste was different. I thought they are using the same recipe right?
The rice was not as fragrant and moist as the one served in Malaysia, and it was extra salty. Sambal was too sweet to our liking. The rendang was decent, but less laden with spices. The size of the anchovies was larger hence contains harder bones. We didn't enjoy this.
Uncle Chin's Chicken Rice (RM14)
Again, the rice here is dry and lack of chicken stock. Chicken was just okay. The Malaysian hawker type chicken rice is way much better than this (and cheaper tsk tsk)
I am craving for the earlier nasi lemak and I want it so badly now. Just wondering is there any Pak Nasser's Nasi Lemak sold in KL? Anyone? =D
