Broga Hill

Like finally.

Have been hearing so much about Broga Hill, how difficult it is to climb compared to other hills, how beautiful it is when you see the view from top of the hill. We took the one week Raya holiday as an opportunity to hike the hill together.

The journey is shorter than Bukit Gasing but it's more difficult to hike. Have to balance and trust your sense of body movement, bending up and down all that. There was a difficulty for me to climb onto the huge rock in order to reach the peak, as I have some don't know what phobia of climbing something dangerous. Finally overcame the fear and we reached the top of Broga!

Thank you so much to Jonathan for guiding us.

Proceeded to the nearby waterfall for a cooling bath.

Played some epic games like we did in Pulau Tioman. Good times.

Went for food trip after hiking. Updates soon!

Goku Raku Ramen @ Mid Valley Megamall

Fancy some piping hot and wholesome bowl of ramen? Head over to Gokuraku Ramen which the newly established ramen shop in Mid Valley to satisfy your cravings.

The Menu

They offer 2 types of soup base which is Tonkotsu (by boiling pork marrow bones) and Gokuraku (by boiling pork marrow bones, chicken and fish together). The soup base is really flavourful because they boiled it for 48 hours.

For ramen, there are 2 types as well which is the thin and thick noodle. Thin ones will accompany Tonkatsu which the soup texture is lighter. Thick noodles will be matched with Gokuraku soup base which is with a thicker texture.

Nitamago Tonkotsu (RM17.90)

Kuro Tonkotsu (RM17.90)

Gokuraku Ramen (RM19.90)

Ultimate Tonkotsu (RM20.90)

The usual accompaniments would be black fungus, spring onion, bamboo shoot, cabbage and seaweed.

The ramen made from high density flour has a springy texture and keeps me wanting to chew more. Simply can't resist slurping the ramen, chewing it and have a sip of the soup base together. The portion of ramen was very filling.

I love how they serve the egg which has a soft gooey texture of egg yolk being different from other ramen restaurants. It was adequately flavoured too. Not too salty from the soya sauce.

Both types of soup bases tasted genuine from the long hours of boiling. Gokuraku soup base has a thicker texture as it is boiled with 3 ingredients mentioned above. But we felt thirsty after meal wondering it might be the MSG added to the soup.

Holding a private party? Fret not as there is a private section as a venue for your event.

This will be my second favourite Japanese Restaurant so far on my list =D Recently we had a gathering session at the restaurant. Nice to see my high schoolmates and EST teacher, Puan Juliet again.

Hot Japanese Green Tea

Chicken Teriyaki

Salmon Sashimi and Fried Chicken Set. Comes with Miso Soup.

My choice of set that includes Ramen (picture below), California Roll, Gyoza (Japanese dumplings), Tuna Salad, and Green Tea. Price is around RM25 which I find quite reasonable. Overall taste was decent and up to par.

I love to try out food/drinks no matter new in the market or has been long established whenever I hear or read about it from people. Being a little adventurous in food hunting can be rewarding or dissapointing sometimes. I usually suggest the places to my mum and mostly she will be my partner cum driver when it comes to food hunt =D

Our destination of most recent food hunt- the famous Village Park Nasi Lemak. Have been reading so many reviews about it and mostly are good comments. Looks like I'm slowpoke food lover =_=

We reached there at about 1 pm and the place is almost packed with people. We were lucky enough to have the last table available. The staffs are pretty attentive in taking orders. But my mum chose to queue up.

Nasi Lemak with Chicken Rendang. The gravy was flavourful packing fragrant spices. A bit oily but overall it has pleasant aftertaste when combined with the succulent chicken drumstick .

Nasi lemak was not lemak enough due to lack of coconut, hence not fragrant enough. It was a dissapointment. The texture of the rice was fluffy though. The taste of sambal was a balance of sweet and savoury taste but it's not the best that we had. Again, it was kinda oily. Price: RM7.70

Now, the famous fried chicken which many people have been discussing about. I find it so-so only (not the best that we had), no doubt the skin was crispy enough and marination was done quite well, the meat was a bit dry for me. It looks like a huge piece of chicken but it lacked of meat. Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken, RM 7.20

Based on the price, what I can say is what you pay is what you get. I don't mind paying more for Uncle Lim's Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken (sorry no picture yet) which I think taste much more satisfying than this. Same goes to mum.

But then again, if you happen to be around Damansara Uptown area, no harm trying it ;)

The guys came up with this amazing idea for her birthday present. A jigsaw puzzle with the photos of us together, filled with happy moments together during hiking trip, Pulau Tioman trip, outing to KL and buffet session. She liked it very much and she didn't expect this cuz she doesn't know that we can read her mind! =P

Most of them are in their last semester of Uni already. Will miss them so much when they are going out to work T_T Thank you guys for making my uni life colorful and awesome. Good luck in ACCA!

Ramadhan Buffet @ Holiday Villa Subang Jaya

Last Wednesday I was invited by Thristhan along with other bloggers to attend the buffet session. Thank you so much for the invitation =)

I was amazed by the 270+ types of delicacies served. Such a wide selection that I do not know where to start!

Let's start the meal with piping hot sup daging. Received comments that the soup is flavourful. Dip some bread provided with the soup would be perfect.

Salad with nutritional vegetables

Popia stuffed with cucumber and carrot, spreaded with sweet sauce. Light and healthy.

The very traditional Malay dish, Beef Rendang.

Curry Chicken

Some dish consists of fish.

Fresh oysters. Finished taken up by guests pretty fast. Be fast to grab the oysters before the tray is empty ;)

Fried Kuey Teow

Fried vegetables including cauliflower, brocolli, carrots and mushrooms. This was well seasoned and the crunchy texture still remains.

Nasi Briyani Kambing

Ayam rendang and meat floss accompanied by nasi kunyit. The rice was not too oily and soft enough.

Grilled items such as ikan bakar, otak-otak and ayam bakar. They served satay ayam and beef satay too which are fragrant from its marinade. The meat was a bit too dry for my liking. They have a live grill station grilling the food from time to time to ensure fresh food is served.

You can find Italian dishes here which is Spaghetti Carbonara and Penne with tomato based sauce. The texture of cream sauce was just nice and tomato sauce is appetizing with tangy flavours. Powdered parmesan cheese and parsley was provided to add more flavours to your pastas.

Fried prawns in spicy sauce

Fried calamari rings with dried chillies
Chicken kebab. I enjoyed this very much as the tender chicken meat was spreaded with combination of appetizing sauces. Having together with soft pita bread is just so yummy.
Japanese delights which is one of my favourites were also served. Sushi and california roll tasted decent. Varieties of tempuras such as prawn, calamari rings and brinjals were evenly coated with batter, deep fried till golden brown and tasted not too greasy.

Indian cuisine ranging from chapati, roti canai, roti jala and murtabak were served with curries. Texture of dough was alright.
Five types of broths for Mee Rebus, Prawn Noodles, Curry Laksa, Assam Laksa and other were served. I am totally spoilt by the choices as all of them is callling at me to try them. The gravy for mee rebus has a balance of sweet and savoury taste. Thumbs up!

Noodle for Asam Laksa, Mihun, Kuey Teow and Yellow Noodles.

Various crackers such as muruku, papadam and potato crackers. Light and crunchy as a snack in between.
Few types of drinks are provided such as Bandung, Air Sirap with bits of watermelon pieces, Soya Bean and even Teh Tarik.
Cakes and Kuih Muih. The bread and butter pudding with sweet white sauce is a signature dessert of Holiday Villa making it a popular dessert.

Who doesn't love ice-cream? =P Put some condiments to add flavours and texture to your ice cream. The chocolate flavoured ones was all finished up before I had a chance to take it XD

You can visit some stalls located outside the restaurant selling Raya cookies and Baju Raya.

Last Friday night, Churp Churp had organized the first ever #ChurpOut session at Mark's Place, Plaza Kelana Jaya. Thank you for the invites, Jia Ying!

Host of the night, Nicholas Davis from Rosevelt Band. They are the official opening band for Incubus live in Malaysia.

Highlights of the activities

Yummylicious food including homemade beef burgers, homemade onion rings, pepperoni pizza, carbonara spaghetti, spicy fried rice, grilled platter and some other dishes. We enjoyed the food a lot.

My experience in Clinique Star Tour 2011

Thanks to Feeq for the blogger invitation to join Clinique Star Tour 2011. Since I missed the Star Tour last year, I was telling myself no harm to participate in the event and write about my experience. The venue I have chosen was at Sunway Pyramid.

Filling up personal details in a form.

The Clinique skin expert will ask you whether do you have any skin concerns and your skin type. Well, mine is oily skin type with clogged pores and blackheads.

Based on my skin type, products that suits oily skin will be used. Cleanser, exfoliator and sun protector moisturizer are applied to my face.

Next, go for a make up session done by Clinique Skin Experts

The skin expert that I was assigned to was very friendly. She commented that I should go for eyebrow shaping because it looks quite messy (which I agree haha...)

Then, my hair was styled by hairstylists from Miko. They used hairdryer to blow my hair and sprayed some hairspray to shape up my short hair.

Proceed to photoshoot session. The photographer teached me how to pose for a nice picture. I was very satisfied with the result.

The makeup was light and done perfectly. Hairstlye was simple and nice.

Lastly, I was given a goodie bag which consists of a copy of Cleo's latest issue of magazine and Clnique skincare products + mascara as shown above. I started to use them and the products suit my oily skin.

Thank you to all the Clinique staffs for helping me to create this great look. Last but not least, my dad for taking photos during the event.

Mbuji Coffee Appreciation Night

Thanks to Mbuji and Miko Lim, I was lucky enough to be given an opportunity to learn more about coffee which is totally beyond my knowledge about it.

I attended two days of the coffee session. First day was basic knowledge about the various types of coffee, second day being making our own coffee mocktail (does not contain alchohol).

Lets see what have we done on Day 2 =)

Various types of utensils and ingredients ranging from fruits, eggg, syrups, cocoa powder and others were provided.

We are required to use minimum 3 ingredients, one of it being coffee as basic to make our very own coffee mocktail. Creativity is much needed as the best mocktail will be featured in Mbuji's menu. The flavours of ingredients must not overpower each other. Knowledge from Day 1 of basic coffee will be needed.

My team members and I came up with a drink named "Summer Paradise" which consists of mixture of orange juice, passionfruit syrup and of course the basic ingredient- 2 shots of espresso. The froth is made from egg whites. We whisked it until fluffy. Let's see what is the result...

It tasted quite good actually. Own creation always sounds better right? =P

Check out the coffee mocktails prepared by other groups.

It was a memorable session learning how to make coffee mocktail by our own. Hands on experience is a value added advantage in learning new things. Nice meeting new friends too.

And guess what, the Revive Crew saw my tweet and wanted to grant my request. I was like oh my god is this really happening? I thought they were just joking, but I'm wrong.

They really delivered sushi from Sushi King all the way to my place- Sunway University!

Yuna Inspired Secret Concert

Thank you Nuffnang for the invitation to this concert. It was a great night listening to Yuna's soothing voice, with gaya at the same time. She totally rocked MAPKL, Solaris Dutamas!

So, where is Yuna?

Dressed with a sweet pink jacket, Yuna performing songs from her album. She sang both English and Malay songs.

Love her energy, soothing voice and humble personality. Enjoyed the music and tapping my feet along with the rhythm. It was really fun and enjoyable.

Host of the night was Jojo Struys (omg she's gorgeous). Activities were held in between such as Q&A and fans singing on stage to win Yuna's album as one of the prizes. A girl won a Blackberry Torch sponsored by DiGi.

A press conference session was held after that. Media members are entitled to pose questions to be asnwered by the four ladies in the following photo =D

Worst experience that we will never forget

It was a normal Wednesday night. Cool, breezy and calm. Was blasting music while studying for the upcoming mock exam, until I heard my mum called me to come down from my room upstairs- in a frightened tone.

Sensing something wrong, I immediately rushed down from the stairs. Saw mum was on the phone and asked her what is going on. She look really worried, still focused on the phone conversation and didn't bothered about my presence. All I can do is just trying to figure out what is happening. She kept on saying :" Huh? What? Who are you? Huh? Huh?"

Then, she ended the conversation. She told me that dad almost collapsed in bathroom of the sportsclub. Dad was using friend's handphone to call us, on a half-concious state of mind and having breathing difficulties. The weird thing was- it doesn't sound like my dad.

Immediately drove to the sportsclub. Hoping that everything will be fine.

Dad was sitting on a chair near the swimming pool. We knew that he was quite okay except that he has difficulty in talking. We paused for a moment. Everything was silent. My heart nearly sank to the bottom of the sea.

After resting for a while, dad managed to speak properly. He told us that he had serious stomach cramp while bathing. It was really serious until he almost wanna collapse. His jaw was kinda locked resulted in unable to speak properly. And he asked: " Was that a sign of heart attack?"
I told myself that it is quite impossible.

Mum wanna bring dad to hospital for a check-up in case of anything will happen, but dad refused. We were kinda angry that he is still so stubborn, saying want to save medical expenses. Looking at his condition which is getting better, we agreed that dad will go for check-up on the next day. But we will keep an eye of him if there's anything wrong.

Dad did for health check up for kidney, heart and urinary bladder. Medical report showed that everything was alright. Result of heartbeat test was normal, no kidney stone. Nothing is really wrong. That made me feel curious.

Since medical result didn't show anything negative, other alternative was mum suggested to go to the Chinese Temple to do some prayers.

The sifu told her that some evil spirit had entered into dad's body. A FEMALE EVIL SPIRIT THAT SUCKS BLOOD WTF

Okay the story is this. Dad usually will jog in the park and do some gym & swimming in the sportsclub. After working hours he will usually arrive at the park late about 6 something pm? Then he will jog till sky turns dark 0.0 all done he will proceed to the club. All for at least twice a week.

Mum adviced dad many many times not to jog until too late in the park because it might be dangerous, in the sense of robbers and evil spirits. Yes, we do believe in ghost stuffs, except my dad. Ignoring mum's advice, he unfortunately 'kena' on that particular Wednesday. Mum's sixth sense is really......... 0___0 scary. The guard at the park told him that an old man kena rasuk few months ago and sitting at the bench motionless -_____- Damn!

Mum told me that dad was shivering while sleeping. She asked the Sifu from chinese temple and found out that the evil spirit is sucking his blood. In fact, slowly suck bit by bit, day by day. His life will be threatened if continued being like this.

*I'm oso shivering cuz typing this at 12.45 am WTH*

After a few days from the incident, dad told us that he was really scared on that day he will leave us. He felt that he is really dying. T___T After telling him what really happened, he was speechless. Anyway, we do not want to confuse or frighten him by saying further.

Some people may think that this is ridiculous or being supertitious. Well, I'm not asking you guys to believe me what had happened but just to tell you all about my experience. No harm, right?

Sometimes medical stuff cannot explain everything, you just have to seek for alternative method to find out. Legal and safe one okay?

Make Me a Belieber, Tune Talk!

"Baby baby baby Oh......" "Baby" is the first song that made me know about this talented teen, Justin Bieber. Another song that is meaningful to me is "Pray". Loving the lyrics and the rhythm, which makes it one of the best songs in my eye. After watching his movie, Never Say Never as stated in the previous post, I have the real huge urge to go to his concert. And guess what, Justin Bieber is performing live in KL this month!!! Bieber fever is finally in Malaysia!! *screams* Date: 21 April 2011 (Thursday)

Time: 8.30 pm

Venue: Stadium Merdeka

What are the top 3 things that I would do to prove that I'm a true Belieber?

#1 Sing his every single song and dance like his style on the street to help raise funds for Japan earthquake victims.

As seen in the movie, Justin performed on the street when he was younger. The enthusiasm and confidence that he has are the qualities that I respect. To be a belieber also needs to have good qualities like him, right? He also visit the sick and poor kids as seen in the music video "Pray". Being able to master his songs and sing to the public, at the same time doing charity, I believe it is a good thing to do.

#2 Dress in Purple, Red, Black, White everyday

Why would I choose the 4 colours? Beliebers will surely know why =) Purple is his favourite colour, and he normally wear attires in Red, Black and White.

I don't care whether the colours suit me or not, I don't care how I look, I don't care what people will say about me, I don't care how people look at me, because of one simple reason- I'm truly a BELIEBER!!!

#3 Never say never in doing everything in life

"They say tickets will never sold out" but Justin did not give up. He still continue his singing for the passion he had towards his dream. As what he said- never say never. His determination makes him famous and successful today. As a full time student, I should embrace the positive energy that he has as well. Never say never to challenges no matter in studies, good opportunities or everything else that has benefits to life. This is what Belieber should do in the long term, by adopt the supporting characteristics to be a better person.

It all started with the videos of Justin Bieber singing being posted on Youtube.

His story is truly inspiring and made me had goosebumps watching the movie. Down to earth makes Justin Bieber a good person. The movie turned out to be surprisingly exciting, and guess what, after watching the movie, I find that I <3 him more than before. LOL. Bieber fever?

Just don't understand why some people especially guys dislike/hate him. There's nothing wrong with him =)

Nuffnang Sharing Session @ Frames, Sunway Pyramid

This is the second event I joined with Nuffnang.

Three of our very own Malaysian guest bloggers were there! The surprise to me was Xiaxue and her husband, Mike also joined the sharing session too omg O.O It was so happened that she was coming to KL, for road trip I think?

As you can see from the pictures above, the restaurant inside is decorated by many photo frames. From my own observation those pictures taken by photographers are awesome. Simple yet meaningful. They are available for sale as well. Great ambience to dine in with relaxed mind. and.... food is served!

Frosted Iced Lemon Tea. Layered with crushed ice on top which makes it different from the ordinary presentation. A platter consists of ham rolls, marinated mini tomatoes, mussels and beef rolls with asparagus and carrot sticks. Great starter to tickle taste buds. Yum yum

Salmon and chicken. Tasty combination to savour on

Followed up by some tender-licious mutton and generously peppered meat (forgot what was it already)

Presenting Spicy Carbonara. Seriously this is the best carbonara I've ever tasted! Creamy and well-seasoned sauce with a spicy kick was just irresistable. The seafood were fresh too...

Had a great time meeting everyone there. Thank you Nuffnang for the invites! =)

Of Slurpy Udon & Addictive Ice Cream

Read so many food reviews about Marufuku Udon and decided to join the slurpy udon hype, at Taylor's Lakeside Campus =D This time was with my bestie, Ying Han.

All reasonably priced, easy for students =D

Ying's Kitsune Udon. Taste ok according to her =)

Cha Cheong Udon (served hot). Thick sauce with minced meat was decent. Topped with shredded cucumber gives a refreshing taste. Now, the main star of the dish- slurpy and bouncy udon. It was worth trying the udon. The texture was just right and very nice to chew on. Try to add the chilli paste provided. It pretty taste like Chilli Pan Mee lol. It could be better if the portion was larger.

Will revisit there for more enjoyable udon =D Slurp Slup!

Heard of The Last Polka ice cream? They recently opened a shop in the campus, just below Starbucks.

There were approximately 6 flavours available during my visit such as Teh Tarik, White Coffee, Chocolate Chilli (premium), Malt Peanut Butter, Green Tea and Nutella.

After tasting some of the ice cream, Ying chose Nutella while Malt Peanut Butter is on my list =D

Smooth, creamy, not overly sweet and rich textured ice cream. Who can resist it? One scoop followed by one scoop, mmmm it really satisfied my ice cream cravings during a hot day. I want MORE!

Ying hinted to me that a particular shop is coming soon in lakeside, I wonder which shop is it? =P *continue wondering*

Pacific Coffee Company, IOI Boulevard Puchong

The new coffee establishment in town- Pacific Coffee Company. With beautiful interior arrangement, it simply captured my heart.

Iced Cafe Latte. This had too much milk where I prefer the stronger taste of coffee. But overall it was decent.

Environmental friendly cup- reminds me of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which is found in ACCA P1 syllabus =P

Left- Caramel Swirl Chillino, Right- Berry Frenzy Chillino. Check out the Hahah Deal that I used to purchase the drinks =)

Caramel Swirl was really pleasant to drink, while Berry Frenzy has a refreshing taste. Glad that my family love the drinks that I chose for them ^^

Also tried the chillino blended with banana (forgot what is it called). Good stuff =D try it for yourself.

Extensive menu as compared to Starbucks. But they don't have green tea beverages =) If you are a DiGi user, do ask for the free top up size from small to regular. Or if you order Alto(largest) size, you can still get discount.

You can select other drinks from this place including fruit juices. The choices available are not bad I would say, and reasonably priced as well. Spotted Sarsaparilla which is originated from old times recipe. Should give it a try next time =)

Cookies and pastries =)

You may use the computer available to surf the net. The speed of DiGi broadband that they are using is moderate. One thing to improve- their WiFi. I can't use my phone to surf the net but others who bring laptop can =.= Well, the staff said there is q problem of low speed connection. Despite of my third visit there, same problem still exists.

Pretty good selection of reading materials ranging from newspapers, magazines to science journals likeNational Geographic.

It was a great experience having drinks and spending the weekends with family. If you ask me which is better between Starbucks and Pacific Coffee, I would say each has it's specialty.

One of the things that I love about Carls Jr is that they provide ice tea and lemons for customers to make their own iced lemon tea. Forget about the carbonated ice lemon tea and other carbonated drinks =P Refillable!

Have you guys come across this documentary show on Astro Discovery Channel 551? Or you might want to check the videos out in Youtube =) Mind you, viewers' discretion is needed.

Have been following the show without fail on every Thursday at 10pm. Well the show is about many weird creatures that may or may not exist in this world attacking people. The scenes may be very sickening to some people, but it's fine for me.

Since one month ago, I noticed that Astro has stopped airing the show. Maybe some people have experienced nightmares after watching the show. But, I'm pretty sure that there are still many Malaysians out there want to watch the show.

The confession of a frusfrated employee, Ms. Fussy:

On Sunday night, Fussy finally spent her free time in the supermarket buying some groceries. She stumbled upon this brand of coffee called 'BOSS' which she have never tried before.

"Hmmm...BOSS. Makes me think of my bad boss whom I have to see tmr. Ahh... already feeling the monday blues >__<"

She took cans of BOSS coffee to the cashier and made payment, hoping to relax at home while trying out BOSS.

As you guys know I attended the DiGi Done Right Camp last weekend (check older posts), and the DiGi staff @melakaboy brought us campers for a tour around the office. Curious about what's inside the huge office? Let the photos lead you to a better picture =D

This is actually a waterfall. They turn the power off during weekends so that they can save energy. Environment friendly office indeed =)

@melakaboy aka Prashan Chitty explains the culture of working in DiGi. Saw coffee machines in the office almost at every corner. He confessed that at one point of time he had too much Milo and decide not to drink it for one year! XD

DiGi spent huge sum of money about 1K++ MYR just on this type of furniture. When combined it will look like a cone shaped structure =)

One of the workplace. DiGizens (DiGi citizens) actually can request a transaction to book air tickets both for business and private purpose. So good!

Nice view... the hill opposite is actually a park whereby the staffs can use the exercise models to work out. Another plus point of taking care the employees.

Another great place to work. Prashan told us that staffs have no fixed seating place for work so they can sit whichever place they like to. Flexible =)

DiGi encourage staffs to use less paper to help save the environment. Every amount of paper they use they must plant some trees in return. They actually write on the glass walls to save paper.

Working mums will not need to worry about their children while they are at work as they can bring their children along to work! This mural paintings are done by DiGizens. Awww besstttt la!

DiGi also invest huge sum of money on FRESH flowers. They change the flowers on every Sunday.

For CSR purposes, this place is converted into sauna and manicure place. All the staffs need to do is get the approval of the boss, then go ahead for some nail treatment! *envy*

Guess what place is this. Every time you have questions for DiGi Customer Service Call Centre, your calls will be directed to here. Beside this office is a games room for them to relax after receiving stressful calls =D

Ajisen Ramen, Sunway Pyramid

This place has existed in Sunway Pyramid for a considerably long time. Everytime I walk past the shop, curiousity about the taste of food is accumulating. After reading numerous blog posts and having commented from Ying Jia, I decided to give it a try.

There are 2 types of ramen which are imported ones from Japan and hand made ramen. Too bad that day they run out of stock for hand made ones, Ying Jia and I have to pay about 4 MYR more to get the imported ramen.

Chilli paste, Chilli powder, fried garlic and onion bits to enhance the flavour of whole bowl of ramen

Chicken Karaage Ramen

The generous condiments such as seaweed, bean sprouts, cabbage and spring onions accompanied well with the decent milky coloured broth. I wonder what ingredients make the soup flavourful and milky. The texture of imported ramen taste like spaghetti which kinda dissapoint me. Ying Jia reckoned that hand made ramen taste much better. The portion was huge until I nearly can't finish it =P Overall I would say it is satisfactory =D

Remember to present your student card to enjoy 20% discount =) We paid about 14 MYR per person after 20% discount which I find quite reasonable for a big bowl of ramen with generous condiments =)

Will revisit the shop to have a try on their homemade ramen =]

Done Right Camp with DiGi & Nuffnang (Part 2- Finale)

From imperfection to a closer step to perfection had taught me valuable lessons, thanks once again to DiGi and Nuffnang for giving me this golden opportunity to attend this camp. For the second day of the camp, more activities are provided which I had never tried before, until the real challenges came into the picture. It is definitely a really good start for the year 2011 by applying good values learned from the camp in my daily life.

*Do not be afraid of challenges*

Treasure hunt using the Internet was a challege for me as well as my team members. Being a leader of the team when researching about places is not my forte nearly put me into a situation of giving up. Told myself: I can do it, we can do it. Together as a team we emerged as a winner for the challenge. A big thank you to my team members for using all sorts of gadgets to find the information =)

*CHALLENGE!!!*

*Be sincere in communicating with people*

Towards the end of the camp, we were required to approach 15 persons to tell each other the first impression, areas to improve and complete the sentence : from now on, let us __________.

Body language and eye contact are crucial to show that one is really paying attention during the conversation.

*Appreciate people around you all the time*

Family and friends are important in our life. Thank them sincerely when they helped you to overcome difficulties. A simple 'thank you' and ' I love you' can strenghthen bonds between people.

Not forgetting the staffs in DiGi and Nuffnang for making this camp a huge success =)

*Push yourself to do better*

I need to take challenges willingly, naturally pushing myself to upgrade my performance from average to eXtraOrdinary level, no matter in blogging or studies. It gave me a strong will & determination to be a better human being and succeed in life.

*Do not allow negative thoughts to let you down*

Mr U2 Kumar introduced the term 'mental warrior' which I find it useful to say : 'cancel cancel go away' to the pessimistic side of matters. Think and do positive things in life is important to contribute to society and improve the country.

Can't believe that I've came to this far in the accountancy course. Time flies.

Well the papers combination that I'm taking is not fixed yet because it still depends on my result for December 2010 exam session *keep fingers crossed*

Khai Ling brought this back for us all the way from Italy. The balance between sweet and bitter taste with fresh hazelnuts is the best taste of chocolate I've ever eaten. Thanks babe! =)

Foodora sis Ying Jia also brought back some puddings from Taiwan. The sour lime pudding is special in terms of the ingredients. Never seen whole lime is in the konyaku texture like jelly . Thumbs up! Thanks sis! =)

Didn't know that Crabtree&Evelyn came out with some food products. Normally I don't fancy butter cookies but this version with a twist of lemon attracted my tastebuds! Hehe... Thank you Pei Zhen! =D

Done Right Camp with Digi & Nuffnang ( Part 1)

It all started with the passionate heart to participate in this camp. This is my very FIRST golden opportunity to attend such a great event organised by Nuffnang.

Day 1, 15 January 2010

Took a bus provided by the organizer at Kelana Jaya LRT station this morning. Our first destination is Digi D'House at Shah Alam. I was impressed with the building as it is so 'green' along with their aim to be an environmental friendly organization.

After breakfast was served, each of us was given entry pass, name tag and motivational booklet.

James Yeong delivered a presentation about the latest advance gadgets such as HTC Desire HD. That was when I discovered how great and how far smartphones can provide benefits to people, such as convenience by using Google Goggle and Voice Application. For example, people can just talk to the phone on the content that he/she wants to send to other party as a text. This saves messange typing time. *drops jaw*

That was followed by a presentation by SuLin Lau, the person in charge of the Marketing Department of DiGi. The Maker Faire Robots video opened my eye to the humble side of a man in China who has no education background doing some robots that people can use in daily life, like the robot with trishaw carrying people into the forest O.O

Now the real part of the camp begins, how to be a better blogger. The speaker of the day, Mr U2 Kumar's enthusiasm and outgoing personality brought us into an exciting journey during the first day of the camp. A brief intro of him, he is a Chartered Master Trainer of Lawrence Walter Seminars, Chief Learning Officer of The Art of Learning Leadership. He basically trains people in world top organizations both local and overseas. To name a few- Nokia, Hewlett-Packard( M'sia&S'pore), Astro, The Body Shop, Deloitte&Touche and UTSTARCOM ( China ) Ltd.

We were taken for a tour around D'House by the staff. I was like *wow!* *wow!* *wow!* as I'm really impressed by the structures of the building. Take a look at the photo and you will know why I say that =D

Loads of activites have been provided for us 3o members. We were divided into 5 groups and I was one of the leaders of the group. From reciting motivational posters displayed on the wall, communicating with the members in fun way by motivating them using influential words to treasure hunt in a way I've never done before in my life. The most interesting activity was surely the treasure hunt done using the internet. Now, what do I mean by that?

We have altogether 5 segments to complete. First one was done by using Facebook to find the sequence number of the three pictures provided. After that, more and more work is flowing in. All gadgets used for methods of finding information were well-utilized such as iPhone, laptops and iPad. We used google maps, google search engine to search for info and even Twitter to submit our answers. The main focus of this activity is to educate us how to do it right on the internet, #internetdoneright by @digi_telco. Thanks to all the hard work my team members have put in, we won the challenge.

Not to mention the goal of the camp is to collect 3GB of vouchers in order to graduate from this camp. We will need to perform some act or give some ideas in order to earn them. Still have half of it to go, so much to do with less time =/

Throughout the activity-based seminar, we learnt how to apply the terms such as energy, challenges, passion and many more in our daily life and of course, to our blogs (= That was a really value adding seminar for us.

Vietnam Kitchen @ One Utama

I have a weak memory about the restaurants in One Utama so I decided to google to search for a makan place for my family. My first choice was KTZ(Kei Tak Sek) after reading plenty of food reviews. Mana tau the place is closed down already. Mum suggested Vietnamnese food for a change.

We have been to this restaurant since 5 years ago. We have nearly forgotten the existence of this restaurant since it has been some time since we visited there.

Pork Chop Set (16.90MYR)

Sister said the pork chop taste like satay

Savoury Seafood Gravy Steamed Siakap (19.90 MYR for promotion price)

The sweet&sour taste sauce matched well with the fresh fish. I find that the dish is a bit too sour when eating too much.

Beef Hor Fun (12.90 MYR)

Not your average Cantonese Noodle or Wat Tan Hor. Mum find this dish is not as tasty as last time.

My all time favourite Chicken&Spring Roll Vermicelli (11.90 MYR)

This sweet&sour sauce consists of green chillies and peanuts is not meant for dipping purpose. Mix it into the bowl of noodle and Bon Appetite! ;)

The Spring Roll is crispy with the flavourful fillings inside it. Chicken pieces were tender and well-marinaded. Accompanied with refreshing fibres like cucumber, lettuce and mint leaves, overall was as tasty as last time. I would say that this is a healthy salad vermicelli =)

Avocado&Red Bean Blended (6.90MYR)

Taste normal. A healthy choice of drink =)

Head to Vietnam Kitchen if you are craving for some Vietnamnese food. They have pretty good choices of food in the menu =)

Chicken&Spring Roll Vermicelli is recommended- with 4/5 rating

How I spent my Christmas Day

Attended some church musical event in Taylor's Lakeside campus with family. Students from performing arts did a great performance. Satay was served after the event. Awesome.

Next stop

My all time favourite shopping mall- The Curve. The Christmas decorations were great but was not as impressive as the ones in Mid Valley.

Dinner time at Ikea's restaurant. It is always really really packed with people. It's like people eat all the time for 24 hours! -___- Luckily we managed to find a seat in less than 5 minutes.

Pretty decent and yet affordable chicken wings

Herb baked salmon. This taste a lil bit weird because of the sourness of the orangy sauce =/ The salmon was fresh though.

The cashier was behaving rude to the couple in front of me while I was paying money. Can't she just ask the customer politely to take the cups to the counter to pay rather than raising the tone of voice?

As I was pushing the trolley with three tiers of food, another trolley was blocking my way and the ladies just don't bother to push it away since they used the trolleys 0__0 I am speechless on this kind of people.

That was the worst dining experience, during Christmas somemore.

So, how was your Christmas? =) New year is just fews days to come. I hope to end year 2010 with some positive enerygy =D

O-ko-no-mi-ya-ki

It has been few years since I had this yummylicious food. Okonomiyaki is a type of Japanese savoury pancake with different types of fillings according to your choice.

Add some seafood

and crack an egg on top of it

Ta-da! Okonomiyaki is finally ready to be eaten! I had it as a light dinner and it just fills my stomach really well. 8 MYR per pancake is pretty reasonable.

Pork Noodles @ Restaurant Pomander, SS15 Subang Jaya

One fine day, my mum finally agreed with me to go for the famous pork noodle hunt in SS15 Subang Jaya, along with my lil sister & brother.

In case you have problem finding the shop, it is located just behind Taylors business school. I actually had minor problem finding the shop, instead of finding it, I asked the boss from the book shop around there and he told us the direction. Spot for the bright yellow signboard (=

"Boss, two large bowls of pork noodles please, with no pig innards"

" OK but you have to wait for 45 minutes"

Yeah, the person in charge will tell you that. So, is it worth waiting of 45 minutes for one bowl of pork noodle?

My asnwer is

No.

The taste of the soup is moderate only, but this is so far not the best pork noodles that I have ever had. The bits of pork lard doesn't make a difference to the soup though. 5.70 MYR for one bowl of not so large pork noodle is relatively overpriced =/

I will not visit the same shop for pork noodles again. But if you prefer a lighter taste version of pork noodle, this might be a good choice for you =)

Finally bought some food from Daiso =D

Mixed nuts with anchovies. Good snacks to munch on but the portion is a lil too small for 5 MYR.

Caramel candy and green tea candy =D taste not bad though. I've tried the brown sugar candies as well ( " hei tang" candies ). A good buy =)

For only 5 MYR per item and you get loads of happiness. Shopping at Daiso is so much easier as you can find various kinds of products ranging from cooking utensils, stationeries and even food stuffs! A variety of barang-barang under one roof!

How I spent my study break

Yeah I'm done with final exams, three papers. Gonna enjoy the 3 weeks break to the fullest =)

Back to the topic. Study break is the best time to do the necessary revisions, so how and where I spent those nerding times?

#Study at home

Hmm... I dun really can concentrate studying at home. So I usually study at my college or even like other colleges and cafes.

#Blogging

One of the best methods to release stress. But the mood is not really there so I kinda neglected my blog for almost one month I think? Except for the tiny recent post. Sorry readers =(

#Now the main thing. Enjoy cuppa coffee :D

Since last year I started to drink coffee regularly. Well, not because of addiction but I just love the aroma of coffee. The caffeine doesn't really affect me so I'm ok with coffee.

Blended mocha from San Franciso Coffee. I reckon this is better from starbucks and coffee bean because it has stronger coffee taste than the chocolate.

Coffee jelly blended frappucino. Nothing special and taste ok only

Peppermint mocha. This is my favourite among all, ranking second after the blended mocha from San Francisco =) A refreshing peppermint after taste is the bonus point

Toffee nut. A bit too sweet but overall was fine =) Still prefer peppermint mocha

Creme brulee. Taste similar to toffee nut and I thought my hair smell like toffee after having it for 2 days continuously. Must be the overdosage of toffee =/

The hot version of creme brulee. Not too bad lah. Best to drink while it's hot :3

And overall it was about coffee, mood booster during hectic studies. Whoosh!

Exam season

Alright finally I have the time to blog. Just a short update =)

Done with audit and financial management paper. Both was quite ok.

Left with last paper, financial reporting which is on next tuesday. A heavy paper. Hope it will be fine.

All I hope is a pass, of course above average would be good. To all those who are also having exam, best of luck and do your best.

Been started blogging since 16-10-2008 which is two days before my birthday, in other words, near to SPM.

I believe blogging is one of the ways to confess feelings, release stress and even occupy some free time.

Throughout the journey blogging from last year of high school to university, I find that it is worth of investing time to blog. From discovering people posting up shitty comments to brain-expanding ideas of blog posts, every single minute is truly worth the heart to blog :3

Discovered and joined Nuffnang about one year ago, thanks to friend's recommendation. It's another great platform to get to know more people and at the same time, earn some cash *ka ching*

Mama Kitchen, Bandar Puteri Puchong

Eating out can be a headache for my family because we need to crack our head to find a new place to have our meal since we have been visiting the same old food places. Family wants to try something new so I decided to recommend some new food places. Until I discovered Mama Kitchen after reading food reviews from iamthewitch.com and other bloggers.

Soya Bean with Cincau.

This sambal belacan is good! Not too spicy and flavourful at the same time. My mum easily polished 3 small plates of this sambal (She is a great chilli eater :P)

The claypot loh see fun came piping hot with plenty of minced meat and topped with raw egg. I can smell the aroma when the waiter was bringing the dish to our table. Pretty decent as the fragrant minced meat is the hero of the dish :)

Sweet and sour pork rice. According to mum and sis it was delicious.

Kam Heong Chicken rice. The sauce is really aromatic and spicy enough. Thumbs up!

Yong Chow fried rice. The taste was kinda bland and the rice was hard. I presume they over-chilled the rice. Quite a big dissapointment as I expect a good fried rice.

Fried Tofu with mayonnaise. The moment of giving the first bite I was pampered with the smooth and soft beancurd texture. Not bad but I think Tak Fok's version is better than this one.

Fried baby kailan. The portion was quite small.

We also had the Yong Tau Foo and Bitter Gourd soup. Nothing to shout about though.

Last day of financial management revision class ended early today. Overall I am satisfied with what I have done for revision. Heh... Another week of study break is a blessing :)

Decided to visit Ying Han and have lunch with her in Taylor's. Met up with Pei Ling and Eric too. Didn't expect that they are going Taylor's also. Such a coincidence :)

We had lunch at Chic-licious.

Ying&Ling ordered the same dish, fettucine carbonara with sausage and mushroom (RM8.90). The fettucine was cooked to al dente. The white sauce is creamy. Not bad!

Chinese fried rice with honey chicken (RM6.90) The chicken taste more like sweet&sour chicken and the fried rice taste kinda bland. Not recommended.

Eric had the baked chicken thigh with BBQ sauce and rice (RM9.90) if I'm not mistaken. The portion is kinda big. Sorry that I didn't snap a picture of it.

Eat. Study. Sleep. Motto of the month. I miss Snowflakes the great dessert :(

Pre Exam mood

Going out during the period between October and December is not a good thing as studying for finals is the first thing to consider before stepping the first foot out of the house. But who cares? Family outing is a must :)

#Children's Kindergarten Concert

Helped out mum in Dewan MAS, from adding details to the costumes to keep an eye of the children to make sure they do not go missing. Oh the children are so cute! Hehe... Helped three children to make up a bit. Seriously don't know how to apply eye shadow appropriately so just apply some lipstick and blusher is just as good :) Overall the concert was great.

Study Visit

This is what I usually do during study break, study in another college's library. Kinda lame though, nah just to stay away from home for one day is ok, right? :D

This time is Taylor's University Lakeside Campus. Oh I love the beautiful campus, hehe... I have an excuse to study and at the same time find my bestie, Ying Han. We have not been seeing each other for quite some time already.

Had lunch @ Wong Kok Char Chan Teng. Yes, again =.= There are many other new makan places such as Subway, Chicklicious, Face to Face. Gotta try other outlets soon :D
Portugese Fish Ball. The sauce taste like curry dhal. The taste was quite alright for me.

We ordered the same dish, Hor Fun with Fish. Blame my bad appetite that day I actually had hard time to finish it. But the dish is very comforting. Taste is still as good as I had it last time.
Ignore my pale face as I was feeling not really well that day.

We met Eu Jin after that. Thanks for the 'snooker' bubble gum! XD

Library is our next destination. Played with Sheena's friend's DSLR. ( I'm pretty sure that I will buy a DSLR in the future as the photography interest is really there ) Can't get my hands off the DSLR :(

According to Jason, this is a mixture of strawberry jam, tomato sauce and other liquid if I'm not mistaken. They used that for 'blood' in their video shooting. Quite envy that they have the chance to do video shooting, at least do something other than academic stuff.

Jason acted as the killer running after Eu Jin using a spannar. He even brought a real knife =.=

A panaromic shoot before leaving the uni. Going back home early is a waste of not seeing how they do video shooting :(

Will revisit the uni in the near future ;) Thanks to Ying Han for spending break time with me, and not forgetting the birthday presents. I love it! ;)

Quarter meals with 2 side dishes each. I chose mild peri-peri flavoured chicken. I love the potato salad as the unpeeled skin gives a good texture of the potato =3

Sushi King Japanese Nabe Buffet

Yes finally had the Japanese Nabe Buffet in sushi king. Since exam ended early on Friday, I suggested to have this as lunch with mum and bro. FYI the buffet is only available in Sunway Pyramid branch and on weekdays only.

Bro is curious about the soup. I had the spicy soup while they had miso soup. Both of it taste good. Especially when the flavour of all ingredients are cooked, the soup tasted way more yummy!

Basic ingredients served: raw chicken meat, tofu, leeks and chinese cabbage. We had way more of veggies from the free flow menu shown above.

Dunoe what dipping sauce is that. some blended vege with oil I think? I didn't bother much about the dipping.

Oh mai god free flow of matcha ice cream! how good is that! The colour looks a bit pale at first but do not judge the book by its cover. The first bite....ahhh....it was creamy enough and the green tea flavour is not overwhelming until taste bitter compared to the one from Sushi Zanmai. Heaven! My mum and I had 3 scoops while bro had 5 sccops. Mmmmm really nice! If only there is one big tub of the ice cream in my house...

The evidence we had so many types of vegies. Bro is happy ^^

The buffet is value for money at the same time good makan and bonding session with the loved ones. Recommended :)

Challenge your brain!

Recently addicted with this Brain Challenge 3 game in my phone. The previous Brain Challege game in K750 phone is rather easy compared to this. This is so much more challenging and interesting! Touch screen makes it more attractive and addictive! 0.0

After doing some brain exercise in the training room, daily test is the next step to test whether are you improving by doing the exercises in training room, hence will increase brain usage depends on your achievement. A new game in training room will be unlocked if you reached certain requirement of the daily test :)

Brain test comprises few main elements i.e logic, memory, focus, visual and maths. Each element will test your different thinking abilities in different area.

Stress test is to test your level of stress which is quite helpful if you want to know your stress level everyday :)

Vision test is another interesting one. While testing how sharp is your eyes focusing, it also makes your brain stay active.

Have been playing few times daily to upgrade the brain usage. Wonder when it will reach to 100% :P

This is really a good game to make people stay alert and the same time make me feel sleepy if I can't sleep at night :D

Wall Street, Money Never Sleeps

Watched the first Wall Street movie in lecture theater thanks to my financial management lecturer, Ms Geetha. Well, I personally think that it is better than this new movie, in terms of understanding about shares.

Didn't really understand the terms hence causing me to fall asleep in the cinema for 20 minutes I guess? Same to my sister. From the half of the movie till second last part, she was sleeping soundly lol... Luckily the popcorn saved my day, if not I will sleeping throughout the whole movie =/

Rating: 5/10 (mainly due to lack of understanding)

Each and everyone went back to their respective homes and hostel to take a good bath and rest before going to YinWen's house for steamboat gathering. She invited her friends from her high school band too. We secretly planned to celebrate Leanne's birthday in advance. From transport, persuading Leanne to join us for steamboat and the weather, thank god everything went really well on that day. It was raining at night as we wished :D

Host of the Day: YinWen
Played Wii games. Boxing game was great and sweated like mad. Bowling was funny though. We had fun playing the games! Not forgetting PS3 :D

Helped to slice some lamb shoulder for grilling purposes together with the steamboat. Others also helped to wash vege, meatballs and other stuffs. Tables are readily set up, everything was prepared in full, it's time for makan and bonding session! :D

Since attending the prefect camp and climbing the steep hill during the midnight two years ago, I've never been to any single hill and experience another awesome love of nature. After all the careful and detailed planning, we have the opportunity to explore the hill, and we definitely enjoyed ourselves to the max during the hiking trip!

Before hiking, we stopped by at Kanna Curry House for our breakfast.

according to JiaEn's application in her handphone it says that we walked almost 10km and 19XXX steps. wow... it was a good achievement for all of us! XD

okay we were super hungry after the exploration. KhaiLing has a good recommendation for us to try the young tau foo at PJ old town.

Went back to my primary school Chen Moh as Lawrence, KhaiLing and blogger misses their school a lot. Didn't know that Lawrence went to the same primary school too. Haha.... Parked our car and walked to the yong tau foo place nearby.

the yong tau foo stall was actually featured by Ah Xian. It was really delicious and I miss the ytf nao! T____T wanna go back there for more! :P Thanks to KhaiLing for the recommendation! ;)

we have somemore plans after hiking trip! stay tuned to over the moon and you will find out more soon! ;)

Honestly this was the first movie starring Donnie Yen that I really watched. The previous movies by him didn't seems to capture my attention. Well, I'm not really into kung fu movies until I came across this movie when I was really hard to decide which movie to watch in the cinema.

Didn't regret watching this movie. All the kung fu moves were breathtaking, one word- fantastic. Didn't know that he can play piano so well :D

Skin's Best Friend

Most teenagers usually face pimples and blemishes problems, like me. I have oily skin which is really annoying, seems like one tonne of oil paper blotters is not enough for me. When I began to search the best facial wash that really suits my oily skin, seems like all doesn't work for me. After 30 minutes of washing face, the oil begins to secrete again. urghhh...

Until I found this...

Ah! This is the best facial wash for me. I have been using this since I was 12 years old. So it has been 6 years already! Imma loyal fan of Clean and Clear products :D

6 years back, the price of it was aroudRM9.90. And now, the price increased to around RM10.90. Inflation? lol. Despite of that, I still stick to this particular brand of facial wash.

Say bye to pimples and blemishes, thanks to the foamy bubbly Clean&Clear facial wash :)

guess what i'm going to do with this can of sweet juicy lychee? :D

tada! it's konyaku jelly! in the lovely mould :P sis has been craving for this for long long time already. finally she can have loads of these noms to spice up her day XD

yum yum! but didn't manage to snap the jelly with the mould patterns cuz they are 'selling like hot cakes'! :P the jelly with white layer on top was made by my mum. she used pandan santan and mixed into the jelly solution. love it!

Since how long have you been away with your friends and family?

Well, I have not tasted the feeling before, but for short term, yes. At least I know it will be sad if it happens for long term :)

When I was happily surfing the net just nao, my sister practised her piano songs. It reminds me of how long I have been away from practising the piano.

Seriously, about 5 months I have not touched my piano since the piano grade 8 practical exam was completed. Kinda sad case hor?

Reasons why I have not touched the piano YET :D

1. ACCA occupies almost all the time

For ACCA students, you have to just study, study and study but not doing anything else. But, at least you can surf the net, especially FACEBOOK. Facebook and piano, which one is preferred? I usually spend free time on facebook, but not on practising piano. lame excuse?

2. There's no nagging anymore

You will get nagging if you don't practise the piano, isn't it? For most of the parents, they will nag because they pay money for your piano course. Nagging makes you practise reluctantly, which has no meaning of practising. Playing piano requires great patience and interest, which can improve skills of playing piano. Well, for people who has talent, that's a different story :P they have the skills naturally gifted by god.

3. There is no practical exam anymore!

When there is another final practical exam is coming really soon, you practise like mad. Some of you might be thinking since you don't have practical exam in few months time, then why should I practicse? Or, you want to invest more time in your school assignments rather than playing piano.

4. There is no self motivation

For me, the self motivation comes from piano sheets. Since I'm lazy I really need someone to download all the nice new chinese songs score and PRINT for me to practise on. Or I need to ask around for the scores. Another lame excuse?

I remembered how keen I want to learn piano when I was young, at the age of 5 I think? And the feeling of giving up when I reach grade 5. Vividly etched in my mind...

Anyway, I still love playing piano. I love using the latest chinese songs as sight reading, playing it over and over again, enjoying the beautiful melody line while singing silently in the heart. It is a precious asset that my parents gave me and I worked hard for it. Seriously hope the course will be completed smoothly.

Another test is over and we're planning where to eat for dinner. Plain old food that we had over and over again last time was already enough for us, so we decided to try out this korean restaurant, at least a fresh new try on different food :) thanks to shu lin and chia syn for the recommendation.

another great place to dine in if you are craving for hong kong food. the yin yong here has a stronger taste of coffee, not too much of sugar or evaporated milk, which I love it! :) compared to wong kok and U-village.

Meringue kisses

Last time I had meringue was during Chinese New Year one year ago, if I'm not mistaken. The lucky thing is I just had plenty of them today. I'm really craving for it long long time already. I tried to make it but mission failed so too bad-lah. Bought one jar of them from Ikea today. Ikea's selling them at RM10 per jar! Super worth it and tasted awesome! It's beyond my expectation. Meringue was crispy and sweet enough. Topped with chocolate chip makes it cute, yummmmmmy max and perfect! FYI, Ikea is selling other cookies & biscuits as well at RM1o too. They have the pineapple biscuit, chocolate almond cookies and more. Do check it out when you visit Ikea :)

I want more meringue kisses! :(

We were quite frusfrated where to have lunch in KL. The tourguide Kah Soon recommended this place for us to try out.

Hong Kong Yin Yong (Hot). The taste is not really nice compared to Wong Kok. Probably it is not milky and sweet enough. But it is refillable at the price of RM3.90.

Even the cold version of Yin Yong also tasted ok only. At least better than the hot one. Refillable too ^^

Prawn Wan Ton noodle. The wan ton looks nice and springy when I saw Ying Jia bite on it :P

Will certainly revisit U-village for more fooood! :)

Good news there's one outlet opened in Jalan Kenari, Puchong. Last time whenever my mum is craving for the egg tarts, she will go all the way to the branch in Sri Petaling just to buy the egg tarts.

the egg tarts tasted really fantastic. the egg custard is smooth and soft. the flaky pastry is not too oily. oh but beware of the high calories! ;)

Cheese cake. tha flavour of cheese is not too overwhelming.

Custard pancake. the texture of the pancake is fluffy while the custard tasted not too sweet. a good choice for snack.

Kaya pancake. the kaya tasted ordinary. I prefer those kaya sold in koptitams. It would taste much better.

I've tried the green tea swiss roll. It's highly recommended too...

Lol seriously I did not know that today is another Valentine's day. All couples out there, did you enjoyed your day with your other half? :3

Watched Love in Disguise today. Sadly my dear cannot make it. So have to watch alone, for the first time. Overall, the movie not bad-lah. Lots of the part are very funny. Leehom is still cute and handsome ^_^ while the actress Liu Yi Fei is gorgeous and sweet!

Recommended to watch, especially with your loved ones! :)

Online Contact Lenses

I bet some of you guys do wear contact lens, regardless for cosmetic purposes or convenience purposes, so that you don't need to wear the annoying glasses whenever you need to attned some functions or event.

Recently, there are many cheap and affordable coloured contact lenses available for sale via blogs or any other websites. Prices range from about rm 40-50, can be worn up for 1 year.

I actually once considered to buy them because they are cheap. For sure I have the doubt on whether the contact lenses are reliable or not. You see, students have budget constraint, right? Told mum about that too.

On one fine day while driving to college, heard the news from the radio saying many people now purchase online contact lenses bla bla bla, well, I don't really bother about it, my main aim was to reach college faster to avoid the jam :P

Until one day my mum told me about the news about online purchased contact lenses she heard from the radio too. Her advice was not to simply buy those online contact lenses, as said by the news too, because the eyes need to be checked by eyecare consultant to see whether I am really suitable to wear them, in terms of diameter of the pupil something like that? Well, I don't really have an idea about that.

I always asked my friends who are wearing those lenses whether it is comfortable and reliable or not. During the first few months it was ok, but then as time goes by the lenses are not very good anymore.

Conclusion: I still have doubt on the reliability on the contact lenses. I think it is better to purchase from the optical shop as I don't want to take risk on my precious eye. We only have one pair of eyes, isn't it? :)
